How is Live Resin made?
Live resin is a type of extract derived from freshly harvested cannabis plant materials flash-frozen at sublevel temperatures. The flower is mixed with solvents like butane hash oil and pressed to squeeze out the extract, which is then refined to remove the excess solvents.
This extraction technique skips the destructive steps of curing and drying, which enables the live resin extracts to capture the terpenes, flavors, and cannabinoids of the cannabis plant. The compounds naturally present in plant materials before harvest are preserved in live resin extracts, resulting in the “entourage effect” for the user.
